TradeCrunch ("we", "us", "our") operates the website tradecrunch.in. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. No Personal Data Collection
TradeCrunch does not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII). You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal detail to use any calculator on this site.
All calculator inputs you enter (capital amounts, prices, quantities, etc.) are processed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. No input data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.
2. Calculations Run Locally in Your Browser
Every calculation on TradeCrunch — position size, brokerage, CAGR, and SIP — executes locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your financial data never leaves your device. We have no server-side processing of calculator inputs.
3. Trading Journal Data Stays on Your Device
The trading journal saves your trades in your browser's local storage, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded. There is no server-side copy, and we cannot read, recover, or delete your journal for you.
Two consequences follow from that. Clearing your browser's site data, using private browsing, or switching to another browser or device will make the journal appear empty, and the data cannot be restored by us — export a CSV backup periodically. Equally, anyone with access to your unlocked device and browser profile can open the journal, so treat it like any other file kept locally.
CSV files you import are parsed in the page. The file is never uploaded.
4. Google Analytics
TradeCrunch uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic — page views, session duration, device type and approximate geographic region. We do not send any calculator input, journal data, or other content you type to Analytics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and blocking it does not affect any calculator.
5. Cookies
The only cookies set on this site are those Google Analytics uses to distinguish one visit from another. TradeCrunch serves no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. You can disable or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings; doing so does not affect calculator functionality or the trading journal.
Local storage, which the trading journal uses, is separate from cookies and is not transmitted with any request. It is cleared by the same browser controls that clear cookies and site data.
6. No Account Creation Required
TradeCrunch does not offer user accounts, logins, or any registration functionality. No username, password, or email address is ever collected by this website.
7. No Data Sold or Shared
TradeCrunch does not sell, rent, or share any user data with any third party for commercial purposes. We do not have any user data to sell. The only third-party data interaction on this site is Google Analytics, governed by Google's own privacy policy.
8. External Links
This website contains links to external sites including broker websites (Zerodha, Upstox, etc.), exchange circulars, and regulatory websites (SEBI, AMFI). Any link that could earn TradeCrunch a referral commission carries rel="sponsored"; the rest are ordinary references to a source. TradeCrunch is not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
9. Children's Privacy
TradeCrunch is intended for adults interested in financial education. We do not knowingly collect any information from users under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has used this site in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
