All 18 TradeCrunch Tools, Grouped by What They Do

The full index, arranged by the question each tool answers — how large a position to take, what a trade will cost, what the tax will be, what an investment grows to, and what actually happened across your trades.

Sizing and risk, before you enter

These four decide how much to buy and what the trade risks. Work them out before the order, not after.

What the trade actually costs

Brokerage is the small part. STT, exchange transaction charges, the SEBI turnover fee, GST, stamp duty and DP charges are what turn a nominally profitable trade into a loss.

Tax on what you made

Listed equity, intraday and F&O are taxed three different ways in India. These two separate them.

What money grows to

Returns, projections and the two directions that erode them — withdrawals and inflation.

Adjusting an existing holding

What your average price becomes after adding to a position, and what a corporate action does to price and quantity.

What actually happened

A calculator tells you what a trade should cost. The journal tells you what your trades did cost, and where the money went.

Where the numbers come from

Every statutory charge and broker rate used across these tools lives in one maintained registry with its source and the date it was last checked. The brokerage calculator and the broker comparison both print that date on the page. The formulas, the rate table and the known limits of each calculator are documented on the About & Methodology page.

Nothing you type is sent anywhere. Each calculator runs in your browser, and the trading journal stores trades in your own browser's local storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Start with the position size calculator to fix quantity from your stop loss, then the risk / reward calculator to check the setup is worth taking. If the trade is in futures or options, the F&O margin calculator tells you the capital it will block.
  • No. There is no signup, no login and no usage limit on any tool, including the trading journal. Every calculation runs in your own browser.
  • Yes for equity delivery and intraday, where the brokerage calculator applies the exchange's own transaction charges. BSE equity futures are not modelled and the calculator flags that combination instead of silently pricing it at zero. The full list of modelling limits is on the About & Methodology page.
  • Most calculators encode your inputs into the page URL, so copying the address bar after a calculation reproduces it for anyone who opens the link. Nothing about the calculation is stored on a server.
